NGET: Pathway to Net Zero - The North West and West Midlands Venue

The energy sector is undergoing a period of significant change. The transition to renewables and low carbon generation will help us deliver Net Zero and provide energy security at a price that is affordable for customers. However, this means that the way we transmit electricity from where it is generated to where it is needed has to change. We are already consulting local communities and representatives on projects, but we must also need to look beyond the immediate needs to 2030 and consider the requirements of the Grid well into the future.

As we do this, it is important we work in partnership with stakeholders from a range of sectors and organisations to ensure that we understand their infrastructure ambitions and reflect these in our future plans. Whilst there may not be immediate infrastructure requirements in your area, these workshops will enable us to build relationships and consider future needs at an early stage.
