Survey Closes 03 Nov 2026

With electricity demand set to more than double by 2050, our proposals for Weston Marsh to East Leicestershire would help deliver secure, cleaner and more affordable home-grown energy from where it is generated to where it is needed.

This would create a stronger, more reliable network for homes, schools, hospitals and businesses in the region.

This project is part of The Great Grid Upgrade – the largest overhaul of the electricity network in generations.

Our proposals include:

Your feedback is important and will help shape our plans before we submit a Development Consent Order (DCO) application, which we’re planning for 2028.

Alongside our own assessments, what we hear from local people, landowners and stakeholders is important. Your feedback has already helped shape our plans, and it continues to help us better understand what matters most to communities along the route.

To make our proposals easier to review, they are presented in sections by local council district (whichever collects your bins) - so South Holland, South Kesteven or Melton, for example. This feedback form follows those sections, so you can comment on specific parts of the route.

In addition, each pylon is numbered so that you can give precise feedback. The interactive map on our website allows you to explore the proposals in even more detail.

The more detail you can include, the better it help us understand potential impacts and consider any changes. There is also space to share your views on the project as a whole.

Please share your feedback on:

  • the draft route alignment, including proposed pylon locations
  • the proposed new substations
  • upgrades to the existing overhead line between Wartnaby and Grendon
  • any other impacts or considerations you think we should take into account.

We have published a range of information to help you take part in the consultation and encourage you to read it before completing the form. To find out where these documents are available locally, or to view the interactive map and supporting documents please visit our website.

You can also request copies of our documents – please see the ‘Contact us’ section at the end of this form.

Please submit your feedback by 11:59pm on 3 November 2026.

We cannot guarantee that responses received after this time will be considered.

We really appreciate you taking the time to share your views, and we look forward to hearing from you.
