Improving care experiences for people with eating disorders
Health and care partners in South Yorkshire are working to improve care experiences for people with eating disorders.
The overarching vision is:
To have a South Yorkshire wide approach which supports individuals who have an eating disorder by bringing hope and belief to their recovery journey.
We will provide help and support to them, their carers, family, and friends so they can help their loved ones recover whilst also looking after their own mental health.
We will do this by providing a timely and equitable approach that is evidence based, clinically led and patient informed
The attached report reflects on some preliminary engagement and involvement carried out by South Yorkshire Integrated Care System (ICS) from June 2023 to July 2024 to inform the development of eating disorders services and pathways in Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield.
The survey below asks about you and whether or not you agree or disagree with the themes already gathered from the engagement that has taken place so far and why. You do not have to read the full report to answer the questions in this survey.
Your answers to these questions are anonymous unless you choose to leave your email address. By providing us with your email address you give permission for NHS South Yorkshire ICS to contact you about future involvement opportunities about eating disorders.
If you feel affected by the content or topic of his survey and you and feel you need urgent support with your mental health, please dial 111 and they will be able to tell you the right place to get help. You may be able to speak to a trained mental health professional over the phone.
