Regional Stakeholder Event Greater Manchester

Electricity North West's annual stakeholder regional workshop will keep our stakeholders informed and involved in what we are delivering across Greater Manchester and the North West.

This year’s agenda will  include:

• What we are delivering in terms of major investment programmes as the region’s network operator, and in partnership with other key players, including the benefits and economic growth these bring to the region
• An overview of our work around environment & sustainability, biodiversity and decarbonisation, and how these are enabling progress towards net zero targets and clean growth
• A walk through of government priorities and policies, including GB Energy and how we are responding to any immediate changes in terms of our planning, for example, supporting customers in vulnerable circumstances and those at risk of fuel poverty. We will also look at the potential impact on the energy transition and growth in our region
• An explanation of the ‘Load re-opener’ (submission January 2025), what additional benefits it could mean for the region, including enhanced network capacity, integration of more renewable energy sources and improved reliability and, importantly, how you can support our submission 

There will be plenty of time for Q&A as well as Electricity North West experts hosting round table discussions to enable you to share your own insights and priorities. These events are intended to be very much a two-way conversation. 

Finally, you will be hearing from our some of our partners and independent chairs from our stakeholder advisory panels.  Our themed panels are made up of key stakeholder organisations and individuals that provide insight and challenge, helping to influence and shape our business decisions.
